About us
Mobile Toy Library was started in 2009 to address a need for families of children between the ages of 0–5. Parents were complaining about four things:
- difficulty finding well made environmentally friendly toys
- having toys lying around the house that their children used for a month and then got bored of
- the exorbitant cost of well made environmentally friendly toys
- the poor quality and range of the toys in their local toy library
So Mobile Toy Library was founded to combat these issues. We have sourced environmentally friendly toy manufacturers and we only choose the best toys. To read more about how we are environmentally friendly please click here.
We don't stock toys that are plastic or worn, all our toys are beautifully crafted out of environmentally friendly wood and thus are extremely sturdy.
For a low monthly cost parents can now have a constant supply of toys delivered to their door and will not have to spend all their money on toys that just end up lying around the house. Well made toys can be very expensive and this is an affordable way of having a house constantly stocked with well made environmentally friendly toys.
As many of you may have noticed, a lot of the toys at council run toy libraries can be plastic, old looking unappealing toys. They look used and are not the kind of toys you want lying around your house. Once our toys begin to look worn they get taken out of the toy basket rotation and given to charity. This means that our toys are always new looking and well kept.
At Mobile Toy Library we realise that hygiene is important and so we clean all the toys after each hire. This means that our toys are always clean when they get dropped off at your house and you do not have to clean them before you return them, we take care of that for you.
We use environmentally friendly cleaning products at our office and we clean our toys with pure soap and warm water. This has been shown to be the best cleaner for early childhood services as it not only kills germs, but it leaves a protective barrier behind which stops germs sticking in the future.
