Eco Friendly

Mobile Toy Library is an environmentally friendly company. We have a number of suppliers that supply the bulk of our toys, most of which are wooden. All the companies we get our toys from use Rubberwood for their wooden toys. Rubberwood is grown for it's latex sap which is the worlds primary source of natural rubber.

The trees grow to maturity (75 feet) in 30 years and then they stop producing the sap. Previously they were burned at this time to make way for new plantations. Now once the trees are chopped down at the end of their latex producing life they are used for making toys and furniture. Hence it is a sustainable wood as it is grown in plantations, grows to maturity so quickly and would be burned and wasted if not used by these companies.

A very small number of our toys are also purchased second hand which is a sustainable practice because you are recycling used materials rather than manufacturing more toys at the cost of the environment.
